Officials: Man threatens family, says 'I kill all you'

June 28--A man was ordered held on bail after he threatened to kill the mother of his child, two of her sisters and the grandmother of his child following a verbal altercation Thursday, prosecutors said Saturday.

The incident happened June 25, on the 1000 block of West Maxwell Street, when 24-year-old Anthony Harris got into a verbal altercation with the family members, prosecutors said at his bond hearing.

After the argument, Harris left, prosecutors said. As he did, Harris threatened, "I'll be back. I've got something for all you (expletive)," according to a police report.

He returned later, according to police, and said: "I kill all you (expletive)."

He attempted to fire a gun into the air but it misfired, prosecutors said. He then repeated the action, successfully firing the gun into the air the second time.

He also pointed the gun at his child's grandmother, prosecutors said, before fleeing. He told the grandmother, "Your (expletive) daughter shouldn't be out here telling my business," police said.

Harris, from the 1100 block of West Washburne Avenue, was found nearby by responding officers and arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Judge Laura Marie Sullivan ordered him held on $50,000 bond.
