Official Love Island 2019 launch date announced by ITV

Love Island is one of ITV's biggest shows, with millions of people tuning in to watch good-looking people in their search for love.

Many have been speculating on when the show will return this year, but now ITV has announced it will be on Monday, June 3.

The date announcement was made by the show alongside the hashtag #DayDotIsComing with a picture of the show's presenter Caroline Flack.

Devon Live reports the announcement comes as Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard's younger brother Curtis, 23, has reportedly signed up for this year's series.

Miss Bristol Kobi-Jean Cole is dropping BIG hints she's about to appear on ITV's Love Island

A source told The Sun: "His body is ideal for being in swimwear all day, plus he’s a lovely bloke with a great sense of humour so is sure to be a hit with the ladies."

A month ago Caroline Flack dropped a massive hint about the launch of the show.

On Instagram Stories, the 39-year-old presenter admitted she'd been working out in the gym with her personal trainer, as she told fans it's 'only three weeks' until the show returns to screens.

She told her 1.9m Instagram followers: "I have just trained with Bradley Simmons and he was making me do weights that I shouldn't be lifting but he said we only have three weeks before Love Island starts or for Love Island prep."

What is Love Island?

Last month the ITV host also revealed that filming for the show was due to start, and that she would be meeting the 2019 contestants.

She said: "What’s really exciting about this week is that we start filming for Love Island 2019 and by the end of the week I am going to have potentially seen the cast for this year.

"That is really exciting and mad that it’s come around this quick, so I’ll let you know what happens. It’s going to be a long, hot summer and all that."

Here's who has been rumoured to go on the show this year

Kobi-Jean Cole

Miss Bristol 2018 has been dropping BIG hints she's going on Love Island.

The 23-year-old pageant queen has been hinting she's one of the people lined up to appear on ITV's next series of Love Island.

Kobi-Jean has been getting in shape by training with celebrity fitness guru Matt Fiddes, who also works with Love Island's Megan Barton-Hanson.

The Mirror reports that in a post from his last work-out with Kobi, Matt captioned it: "What is she getting in shape for?

"Single and full dedicated to her goals!"

Kobi then added: "Ahhh so exciting!! Not long now."

Sairah Pinnock

The older sister of Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Sairah was hotly-tipped by the tabloids to enter Love Island last year.

However, her inclusion looks less likely for series five, after Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne publicly blasted the show for its lack of diversity.

Ercan Ramadan

The Only Way is Marbs star was reportedly approached early in January after his strong social media presence and connections to other Love Island stars caught the eye of producers.

“Love Island casting agents are approaching people with low-level fame to take part in this year’s show, they told Ercan he’d be a perfect fit for the show and that they really wanted him on board,” a source told The Sun.

“This year they know exactly who they want on the show, everyone on Love Island must have a strong influence on social media – it’s key to the success of the show.”

Taylor Ward

Real Housewives of Chesire star Dawn Ward's daughter Taylor is rumoured for this series, after she turned down the opportunity to appear on last years show.

The blonde beauty already boasts 195k followers and frequently uploads a range of stunning snaps.

Ashley's [Taylor's dad] mum's got Alzheimer's, his dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour so we had a lot of family things going on. Taylor and the family decided the family needed to be around, and so it wasn't the right time for Taylor," she added.

And asked whether she thought she might go on this year, Dawn told Heart: "Never say never. She's really busy with her influencing and bringing out a fashion brand."

Jane Park

You might already recognise the name, and that is because Jane Park first entered the public eye when she scooped £1 million on the Euromillions aged just 17.

Ever since, she has hit the tabloids for many personal reasons, including her failed love life.

Now aged 23, Jane is apparently hoping to trade Scotland for Spain this summer.

Ethan Allen

Ethan is the younger brother of Gabby Allen, who starred in the 2017 series. The attractive model sent fans in a spin during the friends and family episode of 2017, and apparently this year bosses are keen to get Ethan on board.

He already boasts nearly 55k Instagram followers and frequently posts an array of posed pictures.

"He's not fully on board yet, and it's too early to say who's definitely going on the show, but he's in talks and Gabby is encouraging him to do it,” revealed an insider.

Amelia Goodman

Amelia's sister, Chloe Goodman is already known for appearing in Ex on the Beach and Celebrity Big Brother and her other sister Lauryn Goodman is a social media influencer, so it might be no surprise that Amelia is rumoured to be entering the industry.

Her Instagram account is already full of a range of pics from her trips around the world and nights spent in posh hotels, so it appears that she could get used to the lifestyle easily.

Braelin Kail Peery

The 20-year-old model from Atlanta has previously confirmed that she had been approached by producers to take part in series five.

Braelin has already racked up almost 9,500 followers on Instagram and 21,000 on Twitter.

On March 6, she tweeted to say that she had been asked to appear on the show, before replying to one of her followers: "I'm 20, and I have never been in a relationship before. I can't already be going on love shows."

Something tells me she could easily be persuaded though.
