Police are looking to trace a witness who stopped an attempted burglary in Gateshead.
A man had entered the porch of a woman's home on Durham Road, Gateshead at around 4.30pm on Saturday, September 11.
As the man was entering the porch, he was spotted by a Good Samaritan, who then alerted the woman inside and challenged him.

The man then made off towards the shops in the direction of Low Fell.
Officers have now released an appeal for the woman who spotted the man in the house to get in touch.
She is described as in her 60s, medium height, and of average build with grey hair. She was walking two dogs at the time, one being a black Spaniel and the other a grey Lurcher.
Officers ask that the woman or anyone else who may have any information that could assist with the investigation or has CCTV footage of the nearby area come forward.
