Officers called to Glasgow property after 'sex attack'

A man has been arrested following an alleged sex attack in Glasgow.

Police were called to a property in the Royston area of Glasgow yesterday between 9pm and 10pm after they received reports of a sexual assault.

A 40-year-old man has since been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of the sexual assault of a 36-year-old woman at a property in the Royston area of Glasgow, between 9pm and 10pm on Tuesday, 30 June, 2026.

“A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 2 July.”
