Investigations have been carried out this month to reports of damage at a Wirral beauty spot and nature reserve.
Officers from Merseyside Police found damage to a building on Hilbre Island off the coast of West Kirby in Wirral on September 5, which is believe to have been an act of criminal damage.
Officers carried out further visit to the uninhabited island yesterday to inspect the buildings for signs of any damage.

HIlbre Island is a designated site of special scientific interest, home to thousands of migratory birds, with its coast providing shelf for a local seal population.
It is a popular destination for walkers who travel out to the island, situated off the coast of West Kirby, at low tide.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "An officer carrying out enquiries found damage to a building on Hilbre Island on Sunday 5 September.
"It was not reported to police and it is unconfirmed when the incident happened.
"A further visit was carried out yesterday, Tuesday 14 September.
"We’ll continue to work closely with Wirral Rangers and volunteers to act on any reports of anti-social behaviour in the area.
