Office cleaning specialist marks 21st birthday with plans to double in size in next two years

A contract cleaning company is celebrating its milestone 21st birthday by expanding.

Stoke-on-Trent based 1st Time Clean has moved into office premises and invested in new equipment as part of plans to double in size in the next two years.

A new area manager has also been appointed at the business – which specialises in all aspects of office cleaning.

The family-run firm employs 28 staff nationally and is owned by 44-year-old Clint Parr, who took it over from his father five years ago.

The company has clients all over the UK, including Scotland, but are keen to raise their profile and grow their client list in Staffordshire and Cheshire.

Clint said: "I’ve invested in employing a business coach called Doug Flynn to help me double the size of my business within the next two years and I’m already seeing results.

“I’m really looking forward to the future and further expansion.”

1st Time Clean specialises in all aspects of contract cleaning, from office and warehouse to high level dust extraction in factories that produce lots of dust, like wood workshops.

The company uses what’s called an ATEX system – essentially an anti-static high-level vacuum with carbon-fibre poles and cameras, which reduces the risk of explosion.

The equipment can be operated from ground level, eliminating the need for scaffolding and high-level machinery.

The firm also has expertise in cleaning kitchen extraction systems in eateries, restaurants and bars.

Clint, who is married with two children said: “Our new investment enables us to access those awkward places and reduces the downtime in production for the customer.

“Investment into other new kit will also give me the competitive advantage over other cleaning businesses, because as far as I know I’m the only company in the city to have an ATP machine.

“It means that a simple swab of a work surface shows you how much bacteria there is in your office or workspace.

“With our services, the working environment will be cleaner and healthier, which can only be good for staff and the workplace.”
