OFFER EXPIRED What the Butler Saw at the Vaudeville Theatre: Save £20 on tickets

When psychoanalyst Dr Prentice instructs his new secretary to undress, he doesn't expect to be interrupted by his wife, her blackmailing lover, a government inspector and an inquisitive policeman. But hiding a naked woman is the least of his worries, as libidos run riot, identities are swapped and laughter reigns.

What the Butler Saw is a farce written by English playwright Joe Orton, one of Britain's most celebrated playwrights. It premièred at the Queen's Theatre in London on 5 March 1969. It was Orton's final and, arguably, his best play.

Guardian Extra members can buy best available stalls and dress circle tickets for just £29.50 for selected performances until 25 August 2012.
