The Arizona Cardinals played their second preseason contest Thursday night, a 33-26 loss to the Oakland Raiders. Because it was a preseason game, we can get a gauge of where players stand currently, based on their place in the player rotation.
What did the first and second teams look like on offense and defense?
First-team offense

Kyler Murray started at quarterback. David Johnson was the primary running back. Chase Edmonds came in with the first team.
The starting offensive line was D.J. Humphries, Mason Cole, A.Q. Shipley, J.R. Sweezy and Marcus Gilbert.
At receiver, Larry Fitzgerald, Christian Kirk and KeeSean Johnson were announced as starters. However, it was Damiere Byrd who started the game, while Johnson and Trent Sherfield also played with the first-team offense.
Maxx Williams was the starting tight end, but Ricky Seals-Jones and Darrell Daniels also played, as there were some plays with three tight ends.
First-team defense

The first-team defense had no surprises.
The defensive line was Corey Peters, Rodney Gunter and Zach Allen. Terrell McClain subbed in. Chandler Jones, Jordan Hicks, Dennis Gardeck and Terrell Suggs played linebacker.
Patrick Peterson and Tramaine Brock started at cornerback and Byron Murphy played in the slot.
D.J. Swearinger and Budda Baker played safety.
Second-team offense

Brett Hundley played quarterback.
Chase Edmonds played running back, while T.J. Logan and D.J. Foster also subbed in later drives.
At receiver, Pharoh Cooper, KeeSean Johnson and Trent Sherfield started with the second unit. Damiere Byrd also got snaps.
Ricky Seals-Jones and Darrell Daniels got snaps at tight end.
The offensive line was Joshua Miles, Lamont Gaillard, Mason Cole, Jeremy Vujnovich and Korey Cunningham.
Second-team defense

On the defensive line, it was Terrell McClain, Miles Brown and Michael Dogbe. Sterling Bailey also subbed in.
At inside linebacker, first it was Dennis Gardeck, who started, and Tanner Vallejo. After Gardeck came out, Zeke Turner played.
At outside linebacker, Brooks Reed and Pete Robertson began and then Andre Branch also rotated in.
At cornerback, it was Chris Jones and Deatrick Nichols. Nate Brooks and Nichols rotated between being the second and third cornerback on the field.
At safety, it was Rudy Ford and Deionte Thompson.
