Offaly minor star Cormac Egan to play two Leinster finals in 24 hours

Offaly minor Cormac Egan star could pocket two Leinster medals in the space of 24 hours next month.

Dual star Egan has helped both the Faithful's football and hurling sides reach the Leinster minor finals for the first time since 1989.

Egan captained the footballers to beat Kildare in the semi-finals last Saturday before togging out for the hurlers the very next day as they beat Westmeath to reach the decider.

Now the Tullamore youngster will bid to repeat the trick in the finals as the hurlers face Kilkenny in O'Moore Park on Saturday, January 2 before the footballers take on Meath just 24 hours later.

Sunday, January 3

Leinster U-20HC final
