After letting yet another winning position slip against Meath in Leinster last month, Offaly have a golden opportunity to build momentum in the qualifiers against London in Tullamore this afternoon.
Manager John Maughan has been boosted by the return to fitness of key man Peter Cunningham, who suffered a shoulder injury in the course of the Meath loss, and all indicators are that the team has regrouped well since that game.
London gave one of their better displays in Connacht in recent years when pushing Galway surprisingly close but their first away win in the qualifiers looks set to remain elusive.
