Off road car in 'dangerous condition' taken off road by police

A man was 'taken off the road' by police after officers spotted a car in a 'dangerous condition' in Ellesmere Port.

North West Motorway Police shared details of the incident on social media after an SUV type car was stopped by a patrol.

The driver was 'taken off the road' on suspicion of drug driving, possession of drugs, no insurance and using a vehicle in a dangerous condition and no MOT.

It's unclear whether the driver was arrested.

The force released pictures of the vehicle which appeared to be in very poor condition and covered in mud.

Police shared a statement on social media which read: "This vehicle was taken off the road in Ellesmere Port yesterday by MS31 due to it's dangerous condition. The driver was taken off the road for drug driving, possession of drugs, no insurance and using a vehicle in a dangerous condition and no MOT."
