Comics James Acaster and Ed Gamble, who co-host the Off Menu podcast, have partnered with Yard Sale for two new festive pizzas, which will be available from December 1 until January 4.

The first pizza is being dubbed “The Dream Christmas Pizza!” — exclamation mark and all — in a nod to the podcast’s theme, where guests name their ideal starter, main and pudding in the pair’s “Dream Restaurant”, where Acaster is genie-waiter. At the Dream Restaurant, guests can order whatever they like; no sense of continuity is expected.

As such, the pizza will be topped with pigs in blanket, brussel sprouts, crispy sage, and cranberry and chilli jam. A vegetarian alternative will come with nut roast and vegan cheese. Both are £12 and available from the nine Yard Sale sites across London, three of which are delivery-only. £1 from each pizza sold will go to the Fare Share charity, which works to end food poverty in the UK.

Acaster said cryptically of the dish: “Merry Christmas pizza lovers! I’ve got the perfect topping for your pizza: a pizza! Off Menu-style, guaranteed to put a smile in your stomach and Christmas cheer on your tongue.”

Gamble added, somewhat more lucidly: “Yard Sale is my favourite pizza in London and I’m over the moon to have the chance to collaborate with them on this special Christmas pie. Nothing says Christmas like a big old slice of pizza.”

Beside the two pizzas, Yard Sale will also lay on a special 18” version of their garlic bread topped with cheese and Marmite, as a side dish. It is said to be a Gamble favourite.

Festive crackers will also go on sale, at £5, which will also raise money for Fare Share. Beside jokes, the crackers will have prizes, including a Ooni pizza oven, tickets for Gamble’s upcoming tour, Shop Cuvee vouchers and dinner at the Plimsoll, the new pub from the Four Legs team.
