Off-Duty Florida Motorcycle Cop Gets Arrested in the Most Florida Way Possible

I can't wait to hear what you all have to say about this one. Some like sticking it to the law while riding—for the record, I'm not for anything illegal on the streets—and some like when cops break the law and get their due comeuppance. But what about when a deputy is riding with an illegal plate and gets caught? Is that the best of both worlds?

A deputy in Florida recently resigned in lieu of termination after she was caught riding her bike with a fake tag that read 'CHASEM3'—that sentence is about as Florida as it gets.

Former Volusia County Sheriff’s Deputy Erica Muzzy was involved in a series of incidents last weekend, and her aparent social media account, where she showed herself doing “reckless stunt riding on public roads,” the sheriff’s office said, is being investigated.

Muzzy was riding with a group of motorcyclists while she was off-duty. However, officials say one of the motorcyclists she was riding with was recognized as a suspect who had fled from a traffic stop earlier that evening. The suspect was detained, which lead Muzzy to become “argumentative” with the deputy conducting the investigation. Soon after, the fleeing motorcyclist was arrested and taken to jail, and Muzzy continued riding.

About two hours after the incident, a d deputy pulled Muzzy over for having a tag that wasn't visible, as it was flipped up. When flipped down, the tag read, 'CHASEM3'. Muzzy was then arrested for possession of a counterfeit license plate and taken to jail with a $2,500 bond.

An internal investigation into her conduct online is still ongoing, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, with which she had been a deputy since 2021. I think it's absolutely bloody ridiculous for a deputy to act like this, but I want to hear your thoughts in the comments.
