Ofcom shames the worst mobile and broadband providers in the UK for complaints

Ofcom has shared a list of the most complained about mobile, broadband and landline providers in the UK.

The regulator releases a quarterly 'league table' for providers, based on the number of complaints received about the service from customers.

There was a small rise in the relative number of complaints for broadband and mobile providers compared to the previous quarter.

Wales Online reports Vodafone came top of the list for all three services, with customers slating the provider over poor customer service, faulty devices and problems with installation.

Most complained about mobile providers:

  1. Vodafone
  2. Virgin Mobile
  3. BT Mobile
  4. Sky mobile

Most complained about landline suppliers:

  1. Vodafone
  2. TalkTalk
  3. Plusnet
  4. Virgin Media

Most complained about broadband providers:

  1. Vodafone
  2. Plusnet
  3. TalkTalk
  4. Virgin Media

Fergal Farragher, Ofcom's director of consumer policy, said: "People have never had more choice in the phone and broadband markets.

"It's also never been easier to switch your service. So companies that don’t prioritise great service could see customers leaving them for ones that do."

The regulator said anyone experiencing problems should complain to their provider first.
