Spreading over two floors, Hermès new store at Iconsiam is the largest in Thailand, and the only one to find furniture and other items from its home collections.
Prominently located in Iconsiam's luxury wing, the 368m² retail space is divided into zones for discovering ready-to-wear, fragrances, jewellery, leather goods and timepieces on the main floor.
A lift or the stairs takes you down to the ground floor, which houses the equestrian and home collections.
The French brand has a flair for making furnishings as much as other métiers. This was evident at Milan Design Week 2018, held in April, when its home products -- including chairs, fabrics, objects, tableware and wallpaper -- were creatively showcased against Moroccan Zellige tiles at Museo della Permanente.
Hermès' association with furniture actually dates back to 1924, when French interior designer Jean-Michel Frank asked the maison to create leather upholstery for sofas and chairs.
Big pieces at the store include the Sellier two-seater sofa, Les Necessaires d'Hermes Cabriolet chair and a long bench inspired by the pommel horse.
The equestrian heritage is further reflected on various products such as lacquer boxes and blankets with horse motifs.
The cashmere Avalon Tangram Blanket, on the other hand, can brighten up the bedroom with bold shades under the Colourmorphosis concept.
Just as eye-catching is the Apple Watch Hermès Series 4, matched with a three-coloured leather band, exclusively shelved at the Iconsiam branch.
