The legend of Gardner Minshew is growing out of proportion.
After just one week in the limelight as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ top quarterback, the rookie has set franchise records, donned outrageous outfits and sported the exact same outfit in consecutive days, among other silly incidents. It’s not totally clear what we’ve done to deserve this young man — and his glorious mustache.
But Minshew’s originality (and, frankly, weirdness) has no bounds. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Minshew stretches in the Jaguars’ pre-game locker room in nothing but a jockstrap. Why? Unclear. But it happened (reportedly). From Rapoport’s phrasing, it sounds like this is some sort of routine.
Thankfully, there are no photos of the stretches. There are photos, however, of what he was wearing getting off the Jaguars’ plane. It’s also pretty outrageous.
