Brighton have reportedly ‘lodged’ a bid for Odsonne Edouard with the Celtic striker's future taking a new twist.
And Southampton are also set to join the race fo the Celtic striker after selling Danny Ings to Aston Villa earlier in the week.
Edouard has been expected to leave Parkhead all summer with a move to Leicester falling through earlier in the window after they signed Patson Daka instead.
Brighton then moved in to favourites to sign him and the Daily Mail report that they’ve put an opening bid in for him.
Graham Potter is believed to be a long term admirer of him and the Frenchman has just 12 months left on is deal at the club.
Southampton have also reportedly joined the race to sign him as they look for a new striker to replace Ings' with the England international making a big money move away from St Mary's.
Edouard struggled for consistency over the last year and was left on the bench for the 4-2 win over Jablonec on Thursday night.
Ange Postecoglou preferred Kyogo Furuhashi in the striker role for the game and it added further confusion over Edouard’s future.
The former Australia boss has had a lot to deal with since moving to Celtic Park, with Kris Ajer and Olivier Ntcham both allowed to leave.
Ryan Christie’s future is also up in the air with the playmaker having just six months left on his deal.
