Brighton have registered their interest in Celtic star Odsonne Edouard ahead of a summer move, according to a report.
The French striker is a wanted man and was expected to join Leicester this summer, but they decided to move for Patson Daka instead.
That led to suggestions Edouard could see out his contract with clubs unwilling to pay the high asking price set by Celtic, who are wanting extra due a hefty sell on clause.
Now it's believed Brighton could make a move for him with the club set to have a bigger budget if the sale of Ben White to Arsenal goes through.
The Daily Express say the Premier League outfit are 'keen' to see if they can get a deal done and will enter negotiations with Celtic and the player.
They know they’ll need to pay more than the £13m plus add-ons that Leicester willing to spend.
Celtic do have Japanese frontman Kyogo Furuhashi but will still want to hold on to Edouard in the coming window.
Edouard was used as a second half substitute during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Preston but could lead the line when they take on Midtjylland in the Champions League on Tuesday.
