Celtic are bracing themselves for a 'formal offer' for Odsonne Edouard from Brighton, according to a report.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away this summer and Leicester were expected to be his destination earlier in the window.
They signed Patson Daka instead but now Brighton are set to make a move for the Celtic star, and could do it as early as this week.
Brighton are on the lookout for a striker with Graham Potter's men struggling for goals last season.
Neal Maupay was their top scorer with eight goals and it was widely believed they would have finished a lot higher up the Premier League table with better finishing.
And now the Daily Mail say they will making a formal offer for Edouard this week - but it's likely to come after Tuesday's Champions League clash.
Ange Postecoglou has already made it clear he won't stand in the way of anyone who wants to leave the club and Edouard is a player many believe wanted out last summer.
Neil Lennon kept hold of all his big players but it backfired with poor form and performances from many of them throughout a disappointing campaign.
Brighton would need to pay around £20million to get Edouard to the south east of England, but have plenty of cash available to them with a deal to sell Ben White to Arsenal set to go through.
