Odsonne Edouard 'targeted' by Arsenal as Celtic striker tipped for huge transfer

Celtic star Odsonne Edouard is reportedly a £30million transfer target for Premier League giants Arsenal.

The French Under-21 international has been in sensational form this season, scoring 28 goals across all competitions before the coronavirus crisis saw European football grind to a halt.

According to the Daily Mirror the Celtic striker is attracting interest from down south, with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta keen to add to his striking options.

The Gunners paid £25million to sign Kieran Tierney last summer and could be set to smash the record fee received by a Scottish club again, with Edouard valued at around £30million.

They'll face competition from Leicester City, who are managed by former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, while clubs in mainland Europe could also be interested.

Arsenal have a pressing need to sign a striker though with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang likely to leave the club.

From June 30 he'll have just a year on his contract and Manchester United and Barcelona are both thought to be keen to tempt him away from the Emirates.
