Odsonne Edouard steps up Celtic fitness fight as Mohamed Elyounoussi pushes pace for Rangers final

Odsonne Edouard and Mohamed Elyounoussi stepped up their Betfred Cup Final fitness battles on Friday morning.

The Celtic pair were pictured putting in the hard yards at Lennoxtown under the watchful eye of boss Neil Lennon .

The cup holders face Rangers at Hampden on Sunday with Lennon remaining coy over the attacking duo's their availability throughout this week.

Edouard and Elyounoussi, alongside Boli Bolingoli and Jonny Hayes, sat out Wednesday's 2-1 win over Hamilton but have completed, at least, some training this week.

They joined their team-mates again in the East Dumbartonshire rain ahead of the pivotal derby showdown.

Bolingoli also took part in today's session at Lennoxtown.

After Scott Brown's last-gasp winner sunk Accies, Lennon issued an update on his injured stars.

He said: "I'm delighted and we can park that now and look forward to Sunday. We're in great form, that's 11 wins in a row so all the juices and all the instincts will be kicking in over the next few days.

"We'll be really motivated and really up for it.

"Jonny, Moi and Boli. They'll train tomorrow (Thursday).  We've been monitoring Odsonne Edouard day to day and we're give him every chance.

"Well he's not training tomorrow, he's going to do some work with the physios and we'll take it from there."
