Odsonne Edouard reacts to Celtic transfer drama as he makes Olivier Ntcham prediction

Odsonne Edouard believes Olivier Ntcham is a shoe-in for success at Marseille.

The Celtic midfielder endured a rough start to his Ligue 1 loan move but has raked in the plaudits over the past week.

His arrival at OM was marked by former boss Andre Villas-Boas claiming he'd said no to the transfer.

The manager offered to resign but was later sacked, with Ntcham then making his debut in a Coupe de France win over Auxerre.

Christopher Jullien sent his support to the 24-year-old last week and now Edouard has joined in, insisting club and player will be a "good mix".

He said: I see him winning and succeeding. He has the qualities, and mentally he’s ready.

"So, I don’t see any reason why he doesn’t succeed because he’s a player with a strong character.

"So, I think between the Marseille fans and him, it’s going to be a good mix."

France U-21 boss Sylvain Ripoli echoed Edouard's sentiment, predicting Ntcham will prove a shrewd acquisition.

He said: "He’s a modern midfielder capable of both defending well and also projecting himself and having an impact on the offensive phase of his team.

"He’s a player that I really appreciate and I think he’s a very good signing for Marseille."
