Odsonne Edouard rated at £35m by Rangers legend Barry Ferguson as he insists Celtic star is 'worth that all day'

Barry Ferguson insists Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is worth up to £35million in the transfer market.

The Rangers legend is a big fan of the 22-year-old despite playing for the Hoops and thinks his stuttering form of late will be forgotten once he gets himself back in the groove.

Given his importance to the team, Ferguson is convinced only a huge bid could tempt him away from Paradise.

And that would mean an offer of as much as £35m before the men from the East End could be satisfied they would be achieving full value.

He told Go Radio: "They would have to look at that. I think he's worth that all day.

"He's a 30-35m player for me.

"It has to be around about that mark. He's key to Celtic.

"If you get him at the top of his game, he's a top, top player.

"Every player has their price though and when you start banding those figures about of up to £35m then Celtic would have to look at that but I'm sure they are desperate to keep him.

"I think Celtic fans will be happy with Neil Lennon 's comments today.

"I think the board are going to try and keep their most influential players.

"Edouard is key, I know he's not had a great start to the season but once he's up and running he's top notch."
