Odsonne Edouard 'fee agreed' for Leicester transfer as Celtic star poised for £18m Brendan Rodgers reunion

In-demand Odsonne Edouard will reportedly leave Celtic for Leicester City this summer with a fee being 'agreed' for the striker.

The English Premier League side look to have won the race for the talented attacker as he approaches the final year of his contract.

The Sunday Times report the Frenchman has opted for a reunion with former boss Brendan Rodgers, who signed him from Paris Saint-Germain back in 2018.

This is despite interest from Arsenal and Inter Milan in the 23-year-old striker.

Record Sport previously revealed that the sell-on clause in the deal which took the club’s record signing to Glasgow from three years ago is a whopping 50 per cent of the difference between that £9m transfer and his next move.

Leicester will reportedly pay out £18m, cutting Celtic 's profit to around £4m, rather than £8.5m ahead of the massive summer rebuild.

It's claimed the deal could be sanctioned as soon as Ange Postecoglou is confirmed as new Parkhead boss.

Edouard is out of contract in 2022 and Celtic were widely expected to cash in this summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer.

He found the net 22 times for the club last term despite a lacklustre campaign that ended without silverware.
