Odsonne Edouard Celtic transfer value rated as Charlie Adam slaps low asking price on wantaway hitman

Charlie Adam has sparked the ire of Celtic fans by claiming wantaway Odsonne Edouard will only bank them £5m.

The French hitman finds his stock at an all-time low but he remains highly rated by clubs south of the border.

With his contract set to expire in a year's time, Celtic know they will have to accept a cut-price fee for their talisman.

But Leicester, Arsenal and Brighton have all been linked this summer with bids of between £15-20m mooted for the 23-year-old.

Despite poor individual form last season, Edouard netted 22 goals for Celtic and it's understood the club won't sell him for a shoestring.

But Dundee midfielder Adam claims to know better as he took a barbed dig at Edouard, who has 17 goals in just 14 caps for France's under-21s.

He claims the Hoops will only be able to raise about £5m for him if they do opt to sell.

Adam said on PLZ Soccer : "What are they going to get for him now?

"His performances since he's come back, they're not going to warrant double figures.

"So what do they get? £5m and go from there?"
