Odsonne Edouard Celtic transfer situation moves forward as striker undergoes Crystal Palace medical

Odsonne Edouard is undergoing a medical at Crystal Palace.

The Celtic striker is on the brink of a £15million move to Selhurst Park after a fee was agreed.

The former Paris-SG man is out of contract in the summer and the Hoops have finally managed to cash in on him after months of speculation.

It had been suggested that there was the potential for Edouard to stay beyond this transfer window but from a financial perspective, moving on was the only option that made sense for Celtic.

Bordeaux, Dynamic Moscow and Everton were all credited with an interest in Edouard over the last few days but Patrick Vieira’s Eagles have won the race to land the French frontman, reports the Daily Record.

Celtic will receive £12million up front for the player with a further £3million in add ons.

However, a good chunk of that will go to PSG as part of the agreement that took him to Parkhead permanently in the first place.

A £9million fee was shelled out by Brendan Rodgers after an initial loan move from the French capital.

Edouard netted 88 goals in 179 appearances in green and white.

He also lifted an incredible seven trophies during his five years in Glasgow which includes three Scottish Premiership titles.
