Pundit Andy Walker insists Odsonne Edouard's recent upturn in form is "too little, too late" for Celtic.
The Frenchman has 11 goals in his last 12 appearances for the club going into the clash with Ross County in the Premiership.
The 23-year-old's scoring form has coincided with a run of five consecutive wins, but Neil Lennon's side still trail top of the table Rangers by 18 points.
Former Parkhead striker Walker believes the recent improvement from Edouard has come far too late during the disappointing campaign.
Walker told Sky Sports: "With five wins on the spin, Celtic are in good form as they head to the Highlands.
"Stephen Welsh is showing his potential at the heart of the defence.
"David Turnbull becomes more and more influential with every passing week, his goal from 30 yards against Aberdeen in midweek being the only difference between the sides.
"Odsonne Edouard is another who is hitting top form but for Celtic fans, it's too little too late for any chance of success."
