Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard has lauded Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney.
Tierney and Edouard plied their trade together at Scottish giants Celtic for two years before the Scotland international joined the Unai Emery revolution in the summer of 2019.
The 24-year-old has since established himself as one of the Gunners' most important assets, with Bukayo Saka the only player at the club to register more key passes in the Premier League last season.
Now, the Palace frontman has admitted he loved playing with the Arsenal left-back given Tierney's impressive crossing ability.
Speaking to UMM's YouTube channel, Edouard said: "He’s (Tierney) very good, I had the chance to play with him for two years and I enjoyed it.
"He made a big impact on the left-hand side and gave me a lot of assists. So it’s good."
The Gunners host Palace at the Emirates Stadium on October 18 and Edouard admitted that he will have to put friendships aside for the highly-anticipated clash.
"For 90 minutes it’s a game eh, it’s a fight", he added. "But after for sure I’ll speak with him, I’ll get in touch he’s still my friend."
Former Chelsea and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has also previously admitted his admiration for Tierney, comparing him to ex-Arsenal full-back Nacho Monreal.
“Tierney is like a young Nacho Monreal. He is the same kind of profile," Mourinho said in 2019. "He’s reliable, looks a good character, looks a great personality.
“He looks a little like someone from a previous generation in some aspects.
“He has a humble way of behaving and I like his profile."
The Scottish defender joined the Gunners for a reported £25million and has registered three goals and nine assists in 69 appearances since.
