Odsonne Edouard 'a £30m Napoli transfer target' as interest in Celtic striker grows

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has reportedly emerged as a £30million target for Napoli.

The Frenchman has made a blistering start to the season, scoring six times for the Hoops and hitting four in two games for France U-21s.

He's previously been linked to Ligue 1 side Monaco, with reports in France claiming a deal was all-but agreed for Edouard to return to his homeland during the summer.

No transfer materialised but the 21-year-old's form is likely to have caught the eye of top clubs around Europe.

The Daily Mail report Napoli have been tracking the forward for two years, while it's also claimed Sampdoria, Atalanta and Borussia Dortmund have all "expressed an interest" in the former Paris Saint-Germain youth.

It's said Celtic value Edouard at the £30m mark, a fee which would easily make him the club's most expensive export.

Kieran Tierney signed for Arsenal this summer for £25m, while Moussa Dembele joined Lyon for £19.8m the previous year.

Edouard completed a permanent move to Parkhead for £9m in 2018, a year after moving on-loan from the French champions.

He repaid that fee with 23 goals last term, including the winner in the 2019 Scottish Cup Final.

Edouard has netted crucial goals against Rangers and Aberdeen in the Premiership, also bagging a memorable winner against RB Leipzig in the Europa League .
