KENDRAPADA: The additional district and sessions judge of Jajpur sentenced a man to life imprisonment on Tuesday for sacrificing an eight-year-old boy in a temple, seven years back. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 35,000 on the convict for the murder and if he failed to pay then his sentence would be increased by six months.
Pronouncing the verdict, the additional district and sessions judge Gyanendra Barik convicted the 33-year- old tantrik Deepak Barik of Rajendrapur village to life imprisonment for sacrificing the child at the Mangala Temple on February 26, 2015. TNN
