Odion Ighalo identifies trio that will make Man Utd 'great' again

Odion Ighalo has named Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford as the three players who can make Man Utd great again.

The Nigerian forward has only worked with the trio a short amount of time since arriving at Old Trafford in January, although has played with Fernandes previously.

Both new signings have made significant impacts at United in a short space of time, with fans of the club already taken with Fernandes following his impressive start.

And Ighalo feels there is still plenty more to come from the Portuguese midfielder.

"Bruno is a fantastic player," Ighalo told the Metro. "I played with him in 2013/14 at Udinese. We've not seen the best of him yet in the Premier League.

"Once Bruno settles down in England you will see what that guy can do. He has vision, he wants the ball always. He can shoot, he can score goals, he is very intelligent.

"Before the ball comes he is a step ahead to know what he wants to do. In times to come you are going to see what he can do in the Premier League, even better than what he is doing now."

Pogba and Rashford are also still yet to return to fitness (PA)

Ighalo is yet to even share the pitch with Pogba and Rashford, who have both been sidelined with injury.

Rashford is still some way off a return, while Pogba's long-term future remains up in the air, as speculation continues to link the Frenchman with a transfer this summer.

But Ighalo is in no doubt that once both stars return to full fitness they - along with Fernandes - can help propel United to greatness.

"He [Pogba] is working hard to get back to fitness and imagine when we have Pogba and Bruno in the midfield, then you will see a different team - [Marcus] Rashford coming back also.

" Manchester United is going to be great again, winning games week in, week out. He's a great player and it's going to be a privilege to play with him."
