Odell Beckham thankful for time with Giants, but won’t look back

Superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. may no longer be a New York Giant but he’ll always be one in his heart and in the hearts of their fans.

Beckham, who was traded to the Cleveland Browns last month in exchange for a first-round pick (No. 17 overall), a third-round pick (No. 95) and safety Jabrill Peppers took part in an introductory press conference on Monday along with new teammates Jarvis Landry, Baker Mayfield and Myles Garrett.

Beckham, 26, said he was excited to be a part of the Browns renaissance, but also told reporters that he will not forget his time in New York and believes his best football is still ahead of him.

The Giants have chosen to move on from Beckham after a record-setting, but frustrating five seasons. Sure, No. 13 did some magnificent things while donning the Blue, but truth be told, the team wasn’t winning with him and injuries have kept him out of 50% of the team’s games the past two seasons.

After the trade, Big Blue signed veteran wideout Golden Tate to go along with Sterling Shepard, Cody Latimer and Corey Coleman in the wide receiver unit. They are expected to add another face to that group in the upcoming NFL Draft.
