Odell Beckham really wanted to be reunited with Jarvis Landry

Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry formed one heck of a receiving tandem at LSU from 2011-13. The two standout receivers have remained close friends despite playing in different NFL cities – Beckham in New York and Landry in Cleveland after a stint in Miami.

Now the duo is reunited.

According to Yahoo’s Charles Robinson, the prospect of getting the old LSU band back together made for some sweet music to Beckham’s ears.

Part of the reason the OBJ to #Browns deal came together fairly quickly the last 24 hours, Beckham Jr.’s preferred destination was playing again with longtime friend Jarvis Landry. #Giants had been working the phones on Beckham Jr. hard since free agency opened.

Their position coach in Cleveland is the same man who guided them in Baton Rouge, Adam Henry. That familiarity should help Beckham adjust quickly to the new team and the upgraded Cleveland roster.
