Odell Beckham Jr. violated NFL rule by wearing $350K Richard Mille watch in a game

Odell Beckham Jr. had a solid debut with the Cleveland Browns (despite the lopsided loss), but it wasn’t his play on the field that drew the most attention from NFL fans.

It was his watch.

Beckham took the field wearing a Richard Mille watch, which has since been priced at $350,880. He didn’t just wear the watch for warmups or on the sidelines — nope — he wore the watch during the game.

While many marveled at Beckham’s flex of a six-figure watch, others speculated that wearing a wristwatch would be in violation of NFL rules. And that would be correct.

The NFL doesn’t have a specific rule that bans jewelry, but according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Beckham broke NFL rules that prohibit players from wearing hard objects (other than a helmet, obviously).

The league will address the matter with Beckham, but we probably shouldn’t expect to see the $350,000 watch make an appearance for Week 2’s game against the Jets.
