Odell Beckham Jr. teases at trying other sports if there’s an NFL labor stoppage

Odell Beckham Jr. is an NFL star, one of the most prolific wide receivers in the league over the last few years. The popular Browns standout hinted he

“I don’t know, but I know a lockout is probably coming soon, whenever it is, so we’ll see,” Beckham said via The Athletic.

Beckham is referencing the expiration of the NFL and NFLPA’s Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which expires after the 2020 season. Both sides appear resigned to a messy resolution which could impact the start of the 2021 season.

What sport would he pursue? Beckham excelled in basketball and track in high school in Louisiana, earning All-District honors in hoops and placing in the state tournament in track. He was also good enough at soccer to earn an invite to try out for the national junior team.

He’s keeping his (hypothetical) options open.

“It’d be fun,” the wideout said. “Don’t know which one yet. Just have to see how it’s going.”

Here’s hoping Beckham won’t get the chance, and the NFL and players avoid a work stoppage.
