Odell Beckham Jr. got “some of the greatest news” on Monday. We know this because he decided to announce it on Twitter along with an invitation to “haters” to take their best shot at him, as one does when they get some good news.
I know when I’m in a great mood, the first thing I do is log on to Twitter and encourage trolls to come at me.
What news Beckham was referring to? We don’t know (he didn’t say) but the Browns’ newest star did not disappoint after welcoming all attempts to bring him down. He received over 2,000 responses — some from haters, some from fans — and responded to a decent amount of them, including several about his exit from the Giants.
Here’s what we learned…
Beckham is never returning to the Giants
Beckham felt like the Giants disrespected him
Beckham felt like he didn’t get enough targets in New York’s 2016 playoff loss
Beckham isn’t afraid to show emotion on the sideline
It wasn’t his decision to not travel with the team while injured last season
Odell is very happy right now
And hungry
Like, really hungry and apparently unaware of yelp!
It was his mom’s birthday on Monday
On a scale of 1-to-10, I’d give that a solid ‘7’ on the Twitter Meltdown Scale. Beckham didn’t really say anything we didn’t already assume: He’s not the biggest fan of Giants GM Dave Gettleman, he’s going to continue to be passionate on the sideline and he still hasn’t found any good restaurants in Cleveland.
I’ve got some bad news on that last one, Odell…
