Odell Beckham Jr. has been battling a hip injury throughout the preseason. It was enough to keep the star wide receiver sidelined during the exhibition games as a precaution. Beckham repeatedly indicated it was not a big deal or an issue that would bleed into the regular season.
True to his word, Beckham appears just fine. No. 13 did not appear on the Browns’ official injury report released after Wednesday’s practice. He is set to make his Cleveland debut in Week 1 when the Browns host the Tennessee Titans.
That was all part of the plan, according to head coach Freddie Kitchens.
“Odell’s ready to go,” Kitchens said after Wednesday’s practice. “So, yeah, I feel good about the plan (sitting Beckham out of the preseason).”
