Odell Beckham Jr. declares ‘this is my time’ now that he’s recovering from his injuries

Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is ready to put up a much better second season in Cleveland than his debut year in 2019. The talented but enigmatic wideout played through a nasty sports hernia injury that slowed him and prevented him from practicing most of the season. Now Beckham has got that injury behind him.

Beckham released a video chronicling his rehab from the surgery and proclaiming his confidence that 2020 will go much better for him in Cleveland.

After admitting his injury required “one of the worst surgeries I’ve ever had”, the Browns standout got optimistic about his body and his rehabilitation.

“Recovery is going well. I’m really trying to put my body back together,” Beckham said. “I’ve been playing for 23 years so for me I’m trying to put it all back together in seven months.”

The video shows Beckham going through a series of resistance and strength training exercises for his core to build up the strength post-surgery. It’s all done in the name of getting his full body fully healthy once again.

That’s not something Beckham has experienced since his first injury, a shattered ankle in the 2017 season while with the Giants.

“I’ve had a bunch of compensation injuries that the bodily net body naturally occurs over years,” Beckham said. “So right now what I’m trying to do is basically a reset button being able to just get everything fixed: shoulder, arms, back everything aligned and functionally moving properly so I can begin training get ready for the season.”

With a nice smile, Beckham caps that thought with a hint of things to come.

“I would honestly say this is probably gonna be you know one of my best seasons. Bigger, stronger, faster. This is my time.”
