Odell Beckham Jr. chooses to sign with the Los Angeles Rams

The courtship of Odell Beckham Jr. is finally over. The former Browns receiver enjoyed the recruiting process and flattery from a number of different NFL teams in the last few days. In the end, he chose to take his talents to Los Angeles and join the Rams.

Days after being waived by the Browns after two-plus largely underwhelming seasons, Beckham signed with the Rams for the remainder of the 2021 season. Because he went unclaimed on waivers, the 30-year-old wideout was free to negotiate a new contract with whatever team he chose.

In Los Angeles, Beckham joins a crowded receiving room that is led by reigning NFC Offensive Player of the Month, Cooper Kupp. Robert Woods and Van Jefferson have also proven very capable receivers in working with Matthew Stafford. It’s another sign of the Rams going all-in on winning in 2021 after trading for pass rusher Von Miller last week.
