Odell Beckham Jr. announces he’s going away from social media to prep for training camp

One of the reasons Odell Beckham Jr. has become a bona fide star is his social media presence. The Browns wideout is a frequent poster on Twitter and Instagram and often interacts with fans on social media, for better and for worse.

So it’s a big deal for Beckham to take his beloved social media dark for a fortnight. But that’s exactly what No. 13 in brown and orange is claiming to do in order to get himself ready for Browns training camp next month.

“Going away till July 1st for trainin,’’ Beckham Jr. posted on his Instagram story Wednesday. “Don’t hit me, unless it’s beyond urgent. Preciate the love always. Time to lock in!! #BootCamp see y’all soooon.’’

He posted a correlating photo but later deleted the post.

Beckham appears to covet attention, so it will be interesting to see how he handles his self-imposed social media blackout.
