Odell Beckham Jr. a spectator at Giants camp Tuesday

Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. spent most of Tuesday's practice in spectator mode, watching the action from the sideline in the team's first workout since the star receiver gave them a scare with a lower leg injury on Sunday. It turned out to be just a few cuts from getting cleated, but it was enough to keep Beckham out of the action for at least one day.

"We worked him back pretty much on the side today," Ben McAdoo said of Beckham's itinerary, which included running and stretching with trainers on an adjacent field for the first part of practice. "He was a little tender, had some swelling, so we were smart with him today."

Meanwhile, Victor Cruz participated in his first padded practice since last summer. His reps were dialed back on Sunday but appeared to return to a full load on Tuesday.

"He seemed to do fine," McAdoo said. "I didn't notice anything."
