You’ve heard every Eli Manning punchline in the book. You’ve seen every Manning Face ever.
But here is one more log on the fire.
Betting site Betonline.ag put together a list of how each starting quarterback in the NFL affects point spreads. At the top is Aaron Rodgers, who swings betting by a whopping average of 7.5 points when he plays. Patrick Mahomes has a minus-7 average. It goes on down the line through less dependable names like Andy Dalton, Case Keenum and Ryan Fitzpatrick, who have no affect on the spread.
As for Manning? He’s a plus-1. That’s right, every time a team plays Eli Manning, they start out with a one-point advantage in the spread.
Ouch.
