Fans can bet on just about anything these days, and wagering on whether or not a team’s star quarterback agrees to a new contract extension by his self-imposed deadline is no different.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his camp have given Seattle a deadline of April 15 to work out a new deal. Should no agreement be made by that time, negotiations will cease until next offseason.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter has indicated Seattle was made aware of the deadline in January and the date “did not sneak up on the Seahawks.”
With April 15 just under two weeks away, odds are now out on the potential value of that contract and the likelihood Wilson will agree to the terms by the deadline.
