Arsenal's defeat against Sheffield United was a low point for supporters.
Losing 1-0 against a newly-promoted team was seen as unacceptable by many fans who criticised Unai Emery for leading his team to a limp defeat at Bramall Lane.
Unfortunately for Emery, things could get worse before they get better.
According to Oddschecker, a flurry of bets have been placed on the Spaniard being the next Premier League manager to leave their post.
A staggering 65% of all bets over the last 24 hours have backed Emery to leave the Gunners before any of his divisional rivals.
In turn, this has led to odds being slashed on his departure with several bookies cutting odds from 40/1 to 16/1.
Few would expect Unai Emery to be among the frontrunners to leave their club next with several managers expected to be under pressure in the coming months.
The likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of Man United and Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham are both listed at 7/2 to leave next while Southampton's Ralph Hasenhuttl, Newcastle's Steve Bruce and Quique Sanchez-Flores of Watford are next on the list.
The favourite, however, continues to be Everton boss Marco Silva who has odds of just 3/1 to be the next manager to leave.
It appears highly unlikely that Unai Emery will be the next manager to leave, but Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson has said that it's not a surprise for the Spaniard to be under pressure.
He said: "After putting in an away performance worryingly akin to those dished up regularly during the latter years of Arsene Wenger, it comes as no surprise that Unai Emery is starting to feel the heat.
“The Gunners were typically lightweight, wayward and bereft of ideas against Sheffield United on Monday night, and with no discernible improvement evident following Wenger's departure, it's only a matter of time before the Emirates Stadium faithful drop their prawn sandwiches for pitchforks.”
