Odds on the Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan becoming the next President of Ireland have been slashed once again.
Doctor Tony, who has become known to households all over Ireland in recent months due to the coronavirus pandemic, is now 25/1 to take the seat from President Michael D Higgins.
While he still has some fierce competition from the likes of Bertie Ahern, Miriam O'Callaghan and Gerry Adams, he's moving up the list as more and more people place bets on him taking the coveted spot.
Sarah Kinsella from BoyleSports said: “Dr Tony Holohan has been attracting support over the last two months to become the President of Ireland.
"The Chief Medical Officer has been keeping us all informed on the coronavirus crisis with his odds crumbling further into 25/1 from 33/1 but those odds were 50/1 last month.
"Bertie Ahern is not far away either with his odds nibbled slightly into 10/1 from 12/1 and remains a popular choice with punters.”
