The argument between Joe Duffy and Ivan Yates has seen a couple of people suggest they duke it out inside a boxing ring - and now the odds are tumbling on a fight happening before the year is out.
Duffy has slammed Yates after comments he made about his popular radio show Liveline.
The war of words broke out when former Newstalk and Virgin Media host Yates said that he would be advising his PR clients to avoid going on Liveline.
Hitting back, Duffy claimed that the former Cabinet Minister’s new paying clients should be looking for their money back.
“Ivan Yates is charging people €1,500 a day and giving them the advice not to go on Liveline — the biggest rated radio show in the country?
“If that’s Ivan’s advice, his clients should be looking for their money back.
“Liveline has an audience of 400,000 listeners, which is four times the audience of any radio or TV show fronted by Ivan.

Yates has backed up his controversial comments about Duffy, comparing the phone-in programme to the likes of the Jeremy Kyle show - but now punters want them to take their rivalry into the boxing ring for charity.
Having initially been set at odds of 100/1 by Boylesports to happen before the end of the year, a flurry of interest has seen the odds tumble all the way down to a 20/1 shot.
Boylesports have even priced up the odds for each 'athlete', with Duffy and Yates both evens and the draw being 10/1.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Ivan Yates certainly got Joe Duffy’s back up when he said anyone on a sticky wicket should avoid Liveline and turn to different RTE shows such as Claire Byrne’s or Ray D’Arcy’s. Some punters have even requested a charity boxing match, with the chances of it happening by the end of the year clipped into 20/1 from 100/1.”
