Odds on Caroline Flack to return to Love Island shot down after Laura Whitmore's debut

Laura Whitmore’s debut on Love Island has shot down odds on Caroline Flack returning to host the hit show.

Bray native Laura took the villa by storm on Sunday - kicking off the first ever winter Love Island with a bang.

Viewers were quick to congratulate the blonde beauty on her takover - so much so that bookmaker Paddy Power now make the Bray present her odds-on at 1/4 to take over the show permanently.

The news will most definitely turn Caroline Flack’s head, as odds on the shows troubled original host making a comeback have drifted significantly.

The chances of Flack returning to Love Island at all remain lengthy price at 10/1 – meaning a probability of less than 5%.

Laura Whitmore’s Love Island debut left some fans divided, but ultimately she appears to have conquered the majority who have warmed to her. It’s early days though and even though the show has a fickle audience we can’t see producers re-coupling with anyone else for now,” spokesman Paddy Power said.

Meanwhile, punters are already backing couple Callum and Shaughna as the most likely pair to ‘do a Jack and Dani’ and remain coupled up for the rest of the series at 2/1.

The betting agents have Connor and Sophie are the second favourites to do so (4/1), that is if the former manages to avoid blinding Rochelle Humes’ sister with his brilliant white veneers.

Nas and Siannese (66/1) and Ollie and Paige (40/1) are the two least likely couples to make it work – with both girls saying they aren’t interested in their partners.

Meanwhile, Ollie is odds-on at 4/9 to be the first housemate eliminated after it was revealed he is a big game hunter – though bookies make it far less likely (4/1) that ITV choose to kick him out.

He has so far received just 2% of all bets to win the show – a vast contrast to Callum, who is the most popular male housemate and accounts for 68% of all ‘top male’ bets.

In terms of the girls, twins Jess and Eve have been unpopular with punters – with Jess receiving just one bet so far on her to win. The bookies make it 6/4 that both girls will not be in the show in the final week.

Elsewhere, as predicted, Lewis Capaldi’s ex Paige wasted no time in sharing her famous links in her opening VT, and it’s odds-on 1/2 that she tells all of her housemates about her former lover in tonight’s episode.
