Odds for the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft are out and there’s no surprise at the top

The top of the 2022 NFL Draft order is set and odds for who will be the first overall pick have been released. Matching the expectations of many analysts, Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux has the shortest odds at -105 on Tipico Sportsbook to be the first player off the board.

After Thibodeaux, Michigan DE and Heisman Trophy finalist Aidan Hutchinson is second at +125, followed by Alabama OL Evan Neal at +240 and Pittsburgh QB Kenny Pickett at +3000. Ole Miss QB Matt Corral and Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton are tied at +4000 for the fifth-shortest odds.

Tipico’s No. 1 Overall Pick Odds

  • Kayvon Thibodeaux, DE, Oregon (-105)
  • Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Michigan (+125)
  • Evan Neal, OL, Alabama (+240)
  • Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh (+3000)
  • Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss (+4000)
  • Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame (+4000)
  • DeMarvin Leal, DE, Texas A&M (+4000)
  • George Karlaftis, DE, Purdue (+5000)
  • Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU (+5000)
  • Malik Willis, QB, Liberty (+6000)

The Jaguars currently own the No. 1 pick, which is why a quarterback won’t likely be selected first overall pick after Jacksonville took Trevor Lawrence with the top pick in last year’s draft. Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, New York Jets and New York Giants have the next four picks, respectively.

Thibodeaux, 21, has long been heralded for his physical tools and raw talent. At 6-foot-5, 258 pounds, he’s amassed 19 sacks and 35.5 tackles for loss in 30 games since 2019, including seven sacks in 10 games this past season.

If drafted first overall, Thibodeaux would be the first non-QB taken with the top pick since 2017 when fellow defensive end Myles Garrett was drafted by the Cleveland Browns.
