Odds aren’t looking good for a Bears Super Bowl appearance

Oddsmakers don’t have much confidence in Mitch Trubisky and the Bears’ chances of reaching Super Bowl LV next year. | Stephen Maturen/Getty Images

Let’s check in with the good folks at the Way Too Early Department.

The oddsmakers at Sports Betting Dime have established the Chiefs as 7/1 favorites to win Super Bowl LV next year. The Ravens (8/1), 49ers (10/1) and Saints (10/1) round out the top 4.

The Bears are listed at 40/1, with the Packers coming in at 24/1 and the Patriots at 15/1.

SBD oddsmakers are laying 2/3 that Tom Brady is the Patriots’ starter in Week 1, and 6/1 odds that he’ll be calling plays for the Chargers. The odds are 29/1 that he is not on a Week 1 roster.

Five quarterbacks — Patrick Mahomes (5/1), Lamar Jackson (6/1), Russell Wilson (8/1), DeShaun Watson (9/1) and Carson Wentz (11/1) — were given the best odds to be named NFL MVP next season.

The Redskins, at 7/1, were given the best odds to finish with the worst record in 2020.
