October retrial set for swimming coach

Kyle Daniels faced the NSW District Court on Monday, when his retrial was set down for October 11. (AAP)

A former swimming instructor will face a Sydney retrial in October on charges of sexually touching young students.

Kyle James Henk Daniels appeared in the NSW District Court on Monday, when the retrial was set down for October 11 with a time estimate of six to eight weeks.

A jury was discharged in December after failing to reach a verdict on 21 charges.

The jury previously acquitted the 22-year-old of five charges.

Daniels had denied touching nine girls aged between five and 10 on or near their genitals while instructing them between February 2018 and February 2019 at a pool on Sydney's north shore.
